Coding resources for primary schools



If you are looking for a cost efficient, indeed FREE way to begin teaching the new computing curriculum, then J2Code is probably just what you need.  Showed this to teachers yesterday and they were very impressed!  This tool is the perfect way to get started with coding in your classroom and works across all platforms.  Please have a look, easy to use for you and for the pupils.

J2code is FREE for all UK schools with no login required.

It meets all of the coding elements of the National Curriculum for computing programmes of study for KS1 and KS2 in 2014. J2Code enables teachers to run coding on any modern device and comes with the option to share and publish their code as well as connecting and integrating with the award winning J2E creative toolsuite.

Sally was previously and ICT advisor for Staffordshire LA with responsibility for Emerging Technologies, ICT in Literacy, iPads and liaison with the managed services team. She is a highly experienced educator, having worked across the Key Stages in primary school and as a specialist teacher in an EBD school. Sally has written the Primary Computing Framework and works with many schools implementing the new curriculum and embedding mobile technologies.
